Tephra Flow is about new life. Drawing inspiration from the birth of our son in April 2022; by the energy and technology inside the room and by the rolling hills of Laurel Canyon on display outside. What originated as a large batch of acrylic on paper experiments from 2014, has been transformed into a small series of bespoke moving pictures—a blend of handmade and mathematically derived wave systems, created in the haze of newborn sleep deprivation.
